It was with much zoom-zooming that things happened that week I was in Brittany and Paris- train strikes and hire cars, beautiful old houses, a converted barn and fantastic old furniture- and that was just one day!
It seems like such a long time ago- but in fact it was only in September- but of course, like all good stories it began a bit before that! I first met Quentin's sister Clemence in London through work in 2005 I think...we became friends then we became better friends. To make a long story a bit shorter, Clem got married in 2008, and thereby ensued me, on a holiday for a lovely week in France helping as much as I could with wedding preparations, speaking (my crap version of) French and enjoying the sun, friendship and vodka pĂȘche...although that bottle lasted for a very long time if I remember correctly...
Anyways.
Quentin came to London looking for a job. He found something to do then returned to France for a weekend. He met Estelle. There were several trips back and forth to France and London (and I bet some huge phone bills as well). Then Quentin moved back to France 'cause he liked Estelle so much. He found a job, they made some music and decided it was good music and thought it would be fantastic to continue making music together...then they got married. (Please note, in this case the word music is not really 'music').
so. In September I was a guest at Quentin and Estelle's wedding was in Brittany. Here are some photos...
Apparently 'Brittany' cows are special? These ones just wouldn't move off the road! |

...the hugest hydrangeas I've ever seen! |
...so I know there's only one photo of their wedding-and it's not really their wedding- but I didn't take any photos! I couldn't believe it when I got home. Nothing. But they did get married. I was there.
