updates on some of the days of my life...my general, sometimes mundane (but never BORING!) existence in a green and leafy London suburb- repurposing and crafting, thrifting, vintage-hunting and reporting on the current weather- or lack thereof.

ever wonder if...
So today I was walking home and an ambulance passed with lights on and a wee bit of siren. It. Passed. Slowly. Slow enough, in fact, that I could see that the (attendant?) (nurse?) (person in passenger seat?) was eating a carrot. You'd think that en route to the hospital, house, nursing home...whatever- you'd think that the LAST thing you'd wanna be eating is a chunky carrot. What happens if you get to where you're going and you need to chuck because of the sights/smells/scene?! Last thing I ever want to chuck again is something orange. That's after the lovely Doritos episode on the train on Easter Sunday, after Adam fed me and then watered me- with tequila. Liquid panty remover- but the panties stayed on, thank goodness..
Anyways, the last thing I want to be seeing is the ambulance person eating a carrot and showing up with carrot breath after I've had a fall/stroke/got hit by a car/fell off my bike- you get the picture. And while I do realise that they are humans and need to eat, I do hope they took the look I gave them to heart and threw that thing back wherever it came out of.
end of carrot rant.
